20 Dec New! ‘Jimmy’s Jukebox’ Music competition
Contribute your musical talents in the music competition ‘Jimmy’s Jukebox’!
The Jimmy Nelson Foundation is looking for new sounds from around the world.
In a search for a recognisable music theme for the Foundation, a new music competition has been launched for talented musicians around the world called ‘Jimmy’s Jukebox’ .
In the competition both amateur as well as established musicians, singer-/songwriters and composers are invited to create a musical theme that represents a celebration of our culturally diverse world. Participants are challenged to go out of their comfort zone and to try new things. In doing so, the use of traditional and culturally specific instruments is much encouraged.
Out of all contributions, one winner will be selected as Jimmy’s Jingle: a recognisable theme for the foundation. All other entries will be added to ‘Jimmy’s Jukebox’, a database with musical themes that represent the value of global cultural heritage. So partaking in ‘Jimmy’s Jukebox’ will be an exciting experience for everyone.
All partaking musicians will permit the Jimmy Nelson Foundation to use their music in the communications and will be generously attributed for it. At the same time, they will retain the commercial rights over their work.
Join jimmy in the search for a musical ode to our world’s cultural heritage, in a contemporary way. Apply with your music or visit the site for more information. All interested musicians can apply until 28 February.
