Q'eros

Centre for ancestral culture

We are always looking for ways to support indigenous communities as they work to safeguard their cultures. When Jimmy met the Q’eros people, he learned that the first road had reached several of their villages in the previous two years. Their communities started to change faster than ever. We would like to introduce you to Hannah Rae Porst, who for ten years has been helping the Q’eros people preserve their vital traditions.

We are proud to announce our collaboration with Hannah and her NGO, Willka Yachay (Quechua for sacred wisdom). Willka Yachay and the Jimmy Nelson Foundation will join with the Q’eros people to found and build a centre for ancestral culture in Q’eros. We and the people of Q’eros seek your support! How? We’ll let you know soon.
